Michigan's Upper Peninsula holds a lot of family appeal & has two distinct regions (with places like Gould City, Grand Marais, Mackinac Island, Munisang, Naubinway, Paradise, Sault Sainte Marie, Seney, Soo Junction, St. Ignace, Paradise, etc):
- The eastern part is where farms mix
with forest, cities, and other attractions that make this section of
the state unique. Try the Isle Royale National Park.
- The western region is more rugged and wild. Bear,
deer, moose, and many say even cougar roam there.
Michigan's Lower Peninsula includes Detroit.
