Relaxing in Bar Harbor, Maine
May 10, 2008
3 days
Bar Harbor
By Schneider1
This extended weekend allows you to enjoy the waters through various boat tours without having to physically exert yourself (like in seacliff climbing or kayaking). Some weekends you just wanna relax! And this is that kind of restorative trip.

Trip Notes
There's only a few activities per day so that you don't lose sight of the "relaxing" goal of this getaway. But do explore the Acadia National Park, it's a Top US Destination.

Day 1
For those who don't scuba dive, this gives you a chance to see what scuba divers see. Take a unique trip aboard this boat and enjoy live underwater footage of Diver Ed as he searches the bottom of Frenchman Bay for fascinating sealife. He brings his findings up to the boat in his catchbag where you can then touch the starfish, lobsters, sea cucumbers, sea urchins, or whatever else he might have found.
Day 2
Today, you see how that lobster gets from the sea to your table!
Day 3
In the morning, the Sea Venture can customize your tour to whatever it was you wanted to see but couldn't before.

Reserve your afternoon for exploring the Acadia National Park, specifically in the heart of the park at the Sieur de Monts Spring Area.
