We're heading up to the Sonora & Columbia area to spend time with family. Our plan is to explore the Moaning Caverns on Friday, hang out at Pinecrest Lake for a BBQ, swim & party boat on Saturday, then do some geocaching along the Natural Bridges hike down to the river (where I hear there's a cool cave you can swim into).
We'll be staying with family but I thought I'd add in some hotels for other Users because we're familiar with this area.
A fun, extended weekend in the sun!

Trip Notes
| If you've never been in this area before, make sure you check out the old town of Columbia...it's a historic town where you can walk down the streets of yesteryear. |

Day 1
3 hours to get there. Moaning Caverns has many tour options, including a 3-hr adventure, a zip line adventure, a rapelling adventure...or a walking tour, which takes you 236 steps down into the cave (going down will be easy...it's the steps back up that scare my knees :>)
We'll be doing the 45-minute walking tour.

Day 2
Today it's off to Pinecrest Lake, up highway 108 to spend the day by the lake, have a picnic BBQ, then head off in a party boat so we can explore the lake.
Some prime fishing time for my youngest son too!

Day 3
Today I've got to find the road which is near Moaning Caverns, which takes you down to the river in a one-mile hike. There is a cave where we can swim through.
